Trying to use an aggregator

I know a lot of blog readers use a piece of software to read the rss feeds of their favorite blogs. Using an aggregator has never appealed to me. I like to actually visit the sites of the blogs I read daily.

Well, I think it’s time to make more efficient time of my online reading as I get more sites I like to follow. So today, I started trying out different rss reading software, and what did I find out? There are a lot of crappy choices.

Software I’ve tried thus far:

Pluck – This is the worst one I tried. It integrates into IE and looks awful. And who uses IE anymore?

FeedDemon – Seemed like a nice program, but is overly complicated. There are way too many choices. I want a simple, easy to use interface.

Sharpreader – I can’t say anything about this app as it crashes every time I try to launch it.

RssReader – So far this is the one I like best and am using right now.

I still plan on trying some more. Also, I know there are web based ones but I’m looking for a stand alone app.
