Stuff from the weekend

Saturday was about the most productive day I’ve had in a long time. The day started off with installing a new 50 gallon water heater with help from my uncle.

Finally got around to setting up my patch panel and punched down a few cables.

Moved the server rack out of my work area to over by the patch panel. That significantly lowered the noise levels in my little room.

Rearranged the living room, and installed a new Hubbel faceplate with a work phone jack, CAT5 jack, and 2 F-type jacks for my sat receiver.

And finally, thanks to punching down some cable runs, I connected my Tivos turbonet card to my network so it now uses my internet connection to make its daily call.

All this was able to happen because my son got to spend the entire day with grandma. Thanks grandma!!!
