If you watched the last ever Winston Cup race today you know what I mean.
It was a good season for with Matt winning it all and Terry finishing in the top ten in points. It ought to be a good banquet in December.
It tastes like burning

Well, this weekend marks the last race of the season, not to mention end of an era as Winston will no longer be the title sponsor of the series. Matt Kenseth has already locked in the championship so he can try everything this week to win(even though that’s what he does every week). And, Ryan Newman is not on the pole. Thanks goodness!
Actually, this weekend I’m more interested in the Busch series race. I think there are 6 drivers that are within striking distance of the championship. I’m pulling for Jason Keller.
Need to make the best of it as that will be all the racing until February.
Way to go Matt!
Jeez, guess who’s on the pole for tomorrow nights race? Don’t make me say his name! Good thing I don’t put a lot of stock into who has the pole. I’m just sick of seeing his name.
The other night I had a dream that Matt Kenseth had a DNF in this upcoming race. It felt so real, and woke up depressed. Could it mean something? We’ll find out soon enough.
With only a handful(9) of Nascar races to go, and with my driver sitting comfortably in the points lead, it’s been brought to my attention, via Jayski’s, that Matt Kenseth needs to finish 8th or better in the remaining races to lock up the championship. If he can do that, nothing that the second place runner, currently Dale Earnhardt Jr., can do to take over the lead.
..it was that at least Ryan Newman didn’t win the race. I didn’t watch the race but I may zoom through it tonight looking for any possible highlights of what I consider to be one of the most boring tracks.
If you want to know my thoughts on tonights race, you can view them in the comments of Dennis’ blog. I don’t feel like typing them again!

Make tomorrow night it. 500 laps on a 1/2 mile track surrounded by over 150,000(probably lots more) fans. Bristol, I love it!
Hopefully Matt got all his spinning out of the way in tonights Busch race and can have a good finish tomorrow.
I believe he deserved what he got. Free Jimmy!
