As a non-smoker, I’m not the one who should suffer. I will be voting YES on the smoke-free workplaces referendum on November 4th.

I was reviewing my referer logs this morning and saw that someone came here searching google for Kenosha Linux. Now that person is either searching for a distribution call Kenosha Linux, or more than likely looking info on other people in Kenosha who use Linux. Well, you found one. Feel free to contact me if you wish.
I’m still very interested in helping to start a Kenosha Area Linux Users Group.
At 9am in Southern Wisconsin it’s already in the low 50’s outside and they are reporting that we might even hit 70 degrees today. In a very rare statement, I am ready for warmer temperatures and welcome it early.
As I’ve been devoting a lot of time to my Linux habit, I really have the bug to start a local LUG. There has got to be other Linux users in this town. If you find this post and your from Kenosha, Wisconsin or a surrounding area and use Linux and would be interested in helping start a local LUG, please contact me.
There is a new local art gallery that also does a podcast. I’ve been listening to them for a few weeks now and decided to go to the gallery and meet them. After talking with the gallery owner, he invited me to be a guest for the recording of their next podcast to talk about our photography club. They happen to be recording tonight. I wasn’t able to go, but I got our group PR person to go. He’s there right now as a matter of fact(well, at the time I’m writing this). Can’t wait to hear it.
Jimmy Johns is now open in Kenosha. I stopped there today for lunch and got my favorite sandwich, which is the #12 otherwise known as The Beach. That’s a rock’n good sandwich!
For anyone in the area, Jimmy Johns is located at 6430 Green Bay Rd.
That’s right my friends, today, January 13th 2006 marks the grand opening of the Kenosha Lowes store. This is a very special occasion, because we’re actually getting a decent store before Racine, and now I don’t always have to drive to the Racine Home Depot for my home improvement needs.
I’m hoping to be able to stop and visit the store at some point thoughout my day maybe even taking my luncg break there, but if not, I have full intenetions of stoping after hockey tonight.
I just can’t wait to walk through the doors.
One of the most exciting developments in quite some time has started in town. And that is the construction of a Lowes. We’ve known we were going to get one for quite awhile now(01/04/2004), but just this week when I was driving by the proposed location, the excavation has begun!
This is awesome as it will give me one less reason to drive to Racine.
