It’s so quiet in my house right now

It’s lovely! My wife is at work, and all three of my kids are taking a nap. I usually don’t make my son take a nap, but today he got in trouble just before I put his sisters down for nap and I sent him to his room. He played for a long time, but right now he’s sound asleep. All my kids are light sleepers so I fear making any noises as I want to enjoy this for as long as possible. :)

Fun with the kids

Last night when I got home from work we all walked over to a park. It was so much fun.

My son who is now 3 1/2, had a great time because he is bigger and can do all the climbing stuff without any assistance. He also likes when I chase him around.

The girls, who are now 19 months old, are remarkably good at the park. Meaning they get around really good. They both love slides and climbing. It is just a blast watch them play. And our one daughter, who is extremely talkative, likes to say, “I did it!”, everytime she accomplishes something. It’s so cute!

What a weekend, and not in a good way

I’ve been sneezed on, coughed on, and puked on. I know that sounds gross and nasty, and trust me it is, but it’s one of the many realities of being a parent.

Not one, not two, but all three of my kids are sick. And my wife was ill most of Friday night. Now as I sit here and type this, all the kids are asleep. The only sounds heard right are the gentle tapping of keys and the Simpsons courtesy of TiVo.

Both me and the wife are physically and mentally exhausted after this weekend.

Probably the worst part of the weekend was having to cancel my sons 3rd birthday party. We waited until the last minute just hoping he wouldn’t get sick again, but it just wasn’t meant to be. He’s doing much better tonight, but is still very congested.

We’ll have to see this week goes now.

Because crawling wasn’t enough

Over the last couple of weeks, the girls not only started crawling, but got very good at it. Now they’re zooming around the house, it’s really funny watching them go.

But wait! That’s not enough. Now they’re pulling themselves up to a standing position if they get near furniture.

No Jason, I don’t have a goat….

This past weekend me and my son went to Jerry Smiths, which is a local produce place. They’re located out in the county and they have a little area with all those animals that you can feed. They also put on a pretty impressive display during haloween. Which they prepping for while we were out there.

Here we go!

One of our daughters started crawling the other day. The other one isn’t far behind.

I don’t know where they get the engery. they sure don’t sleep much. All this and they’re teething pretty heavily too.

Out with the gang

Ever since we had the girls we’re no longer a small family, and when it comes to wanting to go somewhere, it’s a pretty big chore to load up everyone. Well this morning we did it. After breakfast we loaded everyone in the minivan and headed for the lakefront for a couple of hours.

The wife was pretty mad because I’ve been down by the tall ships display three times already and she wanted top she them too. I guess my pictures didn’t cut the mustard. So we took a quick drive through the area where all the festivities were happening. After she was satisfied with seeing the boats in person we headed a few blocks south were there wasn’t much going on at all. Parked, set up the stroller, loaded the girls in the stroller, made sure I had my camera, we finally headed down one of the paths. I took plenty of pictures I think they all turned out good so I made them an entire album for your viewing pleasure.

Even though it was a lot of work, it was well worth it. And tonight, we’re going to walk over to McDonalds for 39 cent cones.
