News being made in town today

I was heading back to the office today around noon when I noticed two helicopters hovering in the sky. I immediately assumed they were new choppers out of Milwaukee, but I had no clue what they were watching. Then as I drove past the Snap-On Tools headquarters I noticed fire engines and rescue squads in the parking lot and saw some television cameras. However I still had no idea what was going on.

When I got back to the office, someone heard from watching the news that a package was delivered to Snap-On that contained white powder. Details at this time are still sketchy, but I did find this one online mention of it so far. I’m sure I’ll know more tomorrow.

KENOSHA – Authorities are investigating a suspicious package at Snap-on Tools this afternoon after a woman opened it and complained of mild respiratory distress, Kenosha police said.
The 50-year-old employee was taken to the Kenosha Medical Center for treatment. She is in good condition. No other employees reported illnesses from the package, which was sent to the Milwaukee Health Department and the Wisconsin State Crime Lab for testing.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Kenosha Police Department are investigating the origin of the package.
