Parade Blogging

So I’m sitting watching The Rose Parade from start to finish uninterrupted on HGTV. It’s a great start to a new year as it is every year.

To me this parade is one of the best events of of the year. It’s absolutely amazing how much work goes in to something that ultimately only lasts a few hours.

Outstanding musical talent, incredibly detailed floats and the whole show doesn’t feel commercialized like the Thanksgiving parades do. This is one parade I would actually like to see in person some day.

Update: My favorite float thus far has been the record setting Train float called “Families Across America”. At 207 feet, it’s the longest float to ever be a part of the Tournament of Roses Parade. Very cool.
