Redhat Linux Project merging with the Fedora Project

With Redhats latest beta release, Severn, the company wanted it to be more of a community based release and they started something called the Redhat Linux Project. They built a special site for users to ‘get involved’ but quickly turned it off while they ‘made enhancements’. They started announcing early last week that a new site will be available soon with a big announcement of a merger with another producer of RPM style packages.

Well, as of this morning the cat is out of the bag. Redhat merged with the Fedora project, which was an existing group of volunteer Redhat supporters that created many of their own packages and offered them via their repositories.
