The other day I stumbled across web based photo album based around php/mysql. So I decided to download it and install it and play around with it. It called Coppermine, and I must say it’s a pretty slick package. I’ve been user of gallery now for years and it’s suited my needs just fine, however there’s on big thing that’s always bugged me about it. And that’s the fact that when it’s in config mode, anyone who visits at that particular time also has access to the configuration.
That being said, Coppermine isn’t perfect. It’s a touch clunky, and is missing some the basic although necessary features that are in gallery.
